Sasol 6213 Information

SASOLWAX 6213 Container Wax is a professional-grade blend of highly refined paraffin wax and triglycerides, designed specifically for use in Glass & Container candles. Manufactured in Germany by market leader SASOLWAX, it has a low meltng point of ~48C, which makes this wax a perfect choice for container candles.

This wax will shrink a lot on cooling, so will require a second pour or surface flashing after initial cooling.  Pre-heating jars and pouring at 60-65C will generally prevent wax pulling away from the container walls, enabling the surface to be smoothed without bubbles forming.

With its creamy smooth appearance,  ability to hold fragrance and  excellent burning properties, this container wax is one of the most widely used by professional candle manufacturers in Europe. SASOLWAX 6213 container wax is delivered in 5kg slabs.

Wicking

  We recommend using Wedo LX, VRL or V wicks for SASOLWAX 6213.  As a starting point, we would recommend a VRL9 or VRL11 for a 30cl jar.  An LX12/LX14 may also be suitable, or a V10/V12.
